My name is Samantha Hernandez, I am a 17 year old attending New Technology High School. Although I've lived in Napa California for just a few years, I've grown to love it. I enjoy living here because it is a very nice environment and there are a lot of kind people. Other things I enjoy include: going to school, spending time with my family, skateboarding, snowboarding, listening to music, watching movies, and being outdoors. Even though I love all the thing I've included, I believe education comes first. It is very important and should be taken serious, but you should also enjoy the education you are getting and the things you are learning. I am very lucky to go to a school that I love and benefit from. I've grown and learnt so much from New Technology High school; not only from the educators and staff, but from all the students too.
Just like education, I believe family is another aspect of things that are very important. Although I am a pretty busy person, I do my best to spend as much time as I can with my family. My family is the reason I try my best in school. They teach me right from wrong and insight me about the future. No matter what, they are there to support me and I am there for them. I have learnt so much from my family and I plan to keep learning from them, as well as others. I am always open to learning new things !
I believe that I am an outgoing, generous, humorous, and dedicated teen. I try my hardest to make sure I get everything done, while also having some time to myself. I usually tend to do my homework the day it is assigned or during the week so I can finish it and not worry about it; letting me have a free weekend. I like to spend time outside when I'm not busy, like going skateboarding with friends or having adventures with my family. I also try my best to get out of comfort zone by making new friends with incoming students at my school. I'm happy that I do because I now have a lot of great friends that I wouldn't have had if I haven't talked to them.
I love to make everyone happy and laughing. I am a bit of a class clown, but when it is time to work I am dedicated to work hard and finish the assignments given to me. I have also been taking advantage of my opportunities. For example, in my college class, my teacher Ms. Wood would give us our weekly assignments, while also adding some extra credit opportunities. Without a doubt I made sure to do those extra credit assignments as well as finish the weekly assignments; leading me to have an A in the class and have had every assignment done with then some. Like school work, I am also open to new experiences ! As you can see I try to be a hardworking and kind student, an awesome kid to my family, and a generous person to everyone.
